Ten Hut:Combat boots on the Fashion rise...

Ladies, a new trend is here. Combat boots are sexy on women if your swagg is up...I think combat boots are it this year. It's not just about wearing red bottoms, you have to switch up the game and have confidence in your style...that's what trendsetters do. As you can see in the pic, Angela Simmons is rocking her combat boots with a short, flowered skirt and a skully hat. She definitely has the swagg to switch the game up. Then there's C.C ( top pic) from The C&C Group killin them in her combat boots with a motorcycle leather and tights...she's a trendsetter and her confidence is out of this world. C.C knows what it takes to survive in this fashion forward city. So ladies, Angela Simmons and C.C raised the bar and they're forward marching on their own swagg path. Follow suit...

Pink for Wednesdays......

Pink Elephant is hot on Wednesday nights. With a blend of hip hop and house music, Pink is a great scene. The club is the perfect size and ideal for dancing, popping bottles and standing on couches with snow bunnies like your moms ain't teach you no manners. I love the atmosphere...it's a mixed crowd filled with beautiful women and the wild partying includes soap suds and confetti drops, steam blasts and champagne sprays. My first experience at Pink with my homegirl Jean was amazing. So if you looking for a spot to go mid-week this is the place. Always live D FastLife....

Catch me in the kitchen like a Simmons whipping Pastry...

Russell's nieces are beautiful and taking over the fashion game. Following in their Aunt Kimora Lee's footsteps, these PYT's head their own company (under Run Athletics) called Pastry, selling shoes, handbags and now clothing. Pastry shoes is a colorful collection with unique names such as Pastry Glam Pie, Sugar Pastry and Smoothie. The clothing line just hit stores this year and is a good look for them. They also have a reality series called Daddy's Little Girls on MTV, but I fell in love with them the very first time I saw Run's House. I noticed that these girls have brains and drive behind their beauty. Angela, who is also the associate editor of Hype Magazine, has swagg and a great sense of humor. Vanessa, the aspiring actress featured in 2 upcoming films, is classy and mature. They definitely live D FastLife as you can catch them at the hottest clubs and events in NYC and LA. I met Angela at DJ Cassidy's birthday party this summer, In our 15 minute convo I realized she was cool and down to earth. In the next 2 to 5 years I can see them at the top of the fashion game and I'm right behind them in the kitchen whipping up my clothing line. D FastLife baby.....

GreenHouse? Nope on to the next One........

Greenhouse is a very nice club, I had a good time the couple of times I went. Actually I was gonna mention this spot in my blog this week until I read this on the CBS news website.... The pics to the right and left speaks for itself.

What started off as a night of celebration for a top urban fiction author ended in a billion-dollar lawsuit against a Manhattan nightclub. More than 100 people claim they were left in the cold because of their race, but the business is telling a different story. Author Teri Woods has an attorney and she's out for blood. The popular novelist of books like "Dutch" and "Alibi" claims her August 6 book party at the upscale "Greenhouse" club in SoHo was ruined because most of the guests weren't allowed past the front door. Video taken that night shows irate party-goers left outside the club. Woods has filed a class action racial bias lawsuit against the popular eco-friendly club. "This was my book party. I'm doing business. My publisher's there. They have gift bags to give away books," she told CBS 2, saying they wouldn't let in many of her guests because they were black. The place opens at 10 p.m. and closes at 4 a.m., and in the wee hours you can find yourself out on the sidewalk on the wrong side of a velvet rope hoping for admission and a chance, in this case, to pay way too much for organic vodka. Management is intentionally selective on criteria known only to themselves, but on this particular night the people excluded from the club feel the one common denominator was their race. "The number of people that were excluded from this club who are black screams loudly of racism, I'm convinced of it, there's no doubt in my mind and I'm sure a jury will find it the same way," said attorney John Monnenacher. An employee at Greenhouse, who declined to give his name, said Monday the bias charge was absurd. "We entertain everybody from Jay-Z and Russell Simmons, to Diddy, to openly gay actors and actresses as well. I mean there's no discrimination at our event here," he said. Woods said club owner Barry Mullineaux sent out text messages the next day complaining about her guests seeking admission, referring to them as "your people." She claims that's code. "At the end of the day, what's 'your people?' Diseased yaks? Black folks? 'Your people,' Barry?" she said. Even at exclusive nightclubs certain types of discrimination are illegal. Racial bias cases have been brought against clubs in the midwest and the south, but to our knowledge this the first case of it's kind in New York City. An official statement from the club management issued a statement Monday night calling the allegations "grossly false" and said the club caters to "a variety of patrons of all races, religions, creeds, and sexual orientations.

Get ready for Miserable Mondays....

Mondays are miserable for most people, but if you live D FastLife it can be exciting. This is New York City and we don't sleep, so there's plenty to do besides go to work and drinking CrackBucks. Mondays are full of industry parties... Mr.West (pictured above) is a cool spot, small and intimate, but still a party atmosphere. You may even catch a Fab (on the left at Mr. West) or Russell Simmons sighting. If you looking for something more on the club tip, you may wanna check out One, it's in the meatpacking district and partying here is worth losing sleep over. Just cause it's Monday don't mean life stops...people die everyday so live today and tonight like its your last. D Fastlife....

FastLife Fridays

Friday is here, but the weather is gonna suck. So I suggest everybody have a low key night, maybe go bowling with some friends @ Chelsea Piers or Lucky Strike. I prefer the Piers...Lucky Strike is a nice spot, but very strict with their dress code, it turns people off. Fridays are always good for a nice Thai restaurant like Sea, great atmosphere and easy on the pockets. Sea has two locations, one in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn.

Late night, after bowling or some Thai, you can never go wrong with club M2(Mansion).

Introducing Kanye West clothing line... Pastelle.

Kanye West attended fashion week in Paris last month, and also managed to give audiences a preview of his new clothing line called Pastelle. Judging by the looks of this hoodie, we can expect a unique collection with plenty of bright colors and surprises. This particular hoodie features a zipper leading all the way up to the top of the hood. I'm feeling it, Pastelle is expected to hit stores early 2010.

Supra: the hottest sneakers in '09.

Supras are one of the hottest sneakers out, I bought my first pair 2 years ago and been in love ever since. You can see Lil' Wayne and Drake rocking them at most award shows and events. Supra also sponsors the skateboarder Terry Kennedy. The TK Society Supra (pictured in black and patent-leather grey above) is available in four different colors. They are very comfy and fly at the same time. Buy them online or at Training camps around the city.

VH1 Behind the music feat. 50cent.

Behind the Music was great yesterday...I learned some things about 50cent I never knew. 50cent is a real inspiration to me, he came from nothing and made something of himself. He never stopped hustling. He got shot 9 times and came back saying "what don't kill me will make me stronger". He started writing for Diddy, but the relationship went sour when he overheard an argument in Daddy's House studio and 50 pulled out his gun, not knowing they were joking. Diddy immediately stopped working with him. 50 then took the mixtape route and killed the streets... the industry was buzzing. Eminem got hold of his mixtape and the rest is history. Now 50 is one of the hottest rappers and biggest moguls out there...an investor in Vitamin Water, an owner of G-Unit clothing and sneakers, an author of a best-selling book, and even an actor starring in movies with A-List actors like Robert Deniro and Al Pacino. This goes to show you, don't ever stop chasing your dream...live life to the fullest....only God can judge you. D Fastlife...
